Horse Bit Fit provides Consultations to clients for Bridle and Bit fitting. Horse Bit Fit processes your personal data in accordance with data protection laws in the UK.

We may make changes to this privacy notice occasionally by updating this page. We recommend that you should check this page intermittently to keep up to date with any changes that occur so that you approve any changes. However, if these changes have a relevant impact on the way we process your personal data, you will be informed by email.

What is personal information?

"Personal information" is information relating to an identified or identifiable individual which we collect when you engage our services or make purchases through our website. When using this website or taking out a maintenance agreement, it is important that you only provide us with your own personal information and ensure that the personal information you provide is accurate and up to date. You will be responsible for any inaccurate, third party or false personal information that you provide to us.

What information do we collect?

Horse Bit Fit has enabled cookies on our website, and do not record any personal information other than that which is presented for making a purchase through the online shop. We store the purchase history for all our customers in order to enable us to provide the best service possible. These records are stored for no more than five years. All records going back further than five years are physically destroyed and deleted from our systems where applicable.
When you set up a user account, submit an online enquiry or request information from us, we may ask for some or all of the following information, in addition to such additional information as you may volunteer:
• your name;
• account password;
• role;
• company name;
• email address;
• postal address;
• telephone number; and
• project name.
Once you create and log in to your user account or submit information through our website we will know who you are and you acknowledge that your activities on the website and information about you and/or your company may be recorded on our systems, which includes cloud-based systems.

Some mandatory information is required which is indicated by an asterisk(*), but other information is optional. If you do not want to give us certain information you do not have to but it does help us to respond to your enquiry. If you do not provide the mandatory information we may refuse to accede to the request for which this information was requested.

What do we do with the information we collect?

All sub-contractors engaged by Horse Bit Fit have each been approved by us ensuring that customer information supplied by us is not used for any other purpose than completing works on our behalf and in full accordance with UK privacy laws and in due compliance with applicable laws;
You acknowledge and agree to allow Horse Bit Fit to process your personal data for the purposes listed above.

Marketing

We limit the extent of our direct marketing by not sending emails, letters or making telephone calls regarding information on offers, products, services, etc, and would not do so unless you have explicitly told us to.
We do not provide any customer’s personal information to external organisations (i.e. to Specialists, merchants, distributors and retailers, which are outside of Horse Bit Fit) for their own direct marketing purposes in relation to our products and services without your explicit consent.

If at any time you want to amend or delete your information submitted to us for direct marketing purposes by Horse Bit Fit, please contact us so that we can unsubscribe you from our systems.

Who do we share this information with?

As we operate as single enterprise, we do not share information with any other parties for the purposes of data analysis or processing. This is all done within the company structure.

We may disclose your personal information (if you have so permitted) to third parties located in the UK for the purposes of providing services pertaining to your horse or riding needs. We do not give permission for these parties to contact you about their promotions, services, events and other activities in relation to Horse Bit Fit products and services or for any other reason without your explicit consent.
We have in place measures that protect your data adequately. For further information on how we store your data to keep your information safe please contact us..

Where third parties to Horse Bit Fit provide you with a service on our behalf, or help us provide the service to you (e.g. sending you a piece of literature that you have requested from us, arranging a bespoke bridle or bit supply or helping us respond to your request regarding the technical operation of the website), we may share your personal information with those organisations who will only use the information to provide the relevant service. However, we will retain control of your personal information and any third-party service provider that we use must act in accordance with our instructions and protect the confidentiality and security of the personal information as appropriate.
We may also share your personal information with a purchaser or potential purchaser of our business.

If requested by a court, the police or other law enforcement agencies to disclose your personal information we would have to do so in accordance with UK law.

Retention of your information

We only retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for us to use your personal information as described above or to comply with our legal obligations.

Horse Bit Fit is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures where relevant to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Our website or email correspondence messages sometimes include links to recommended other third-party websites which are not within our control. TERMS AND CONDITIONS of CONSULTATIONS

BITS AND BRIDLES
HBFA does not sell, hire, or provide any Bits and Bridles advised on. Recommended suppliers may be included in Consultation notes by Consultants . HBFA cannot guarantee quality, size, or whether copies, if recommended suppliers are not used by Client.
HBFA holds no responsibility for any injuries, to Client, their horse, or accidents caused by any item purchased from recommended suppliers. Any complaints, issues, or claims must be taken up with supplier, or manufacturers.
COMPLAINTS, REFUNDS
Should a Client have complaint or issue with a Consultation, this must be taken up with the Consultant in the first instance.
A Consultation is not a guarantee of solving every issue with a Clients horse, and it's at the Consultant's discretion whether a part, or full refund is made, should a Client consider Consultation not satisfactory. HBFA has no responsibility for Consultants trained by the Academy, or Consultations.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HORSE BIT FIT ACADEMY COURSES
Once a student has asked to enrol, an Invoice is then generated, this saves their place on a Course. Payment must be made, or cancellation of enrolment before Course start date, so we can fill that space. Failure to do so will result in £45 admin charge to cover some of our costs. £50 deposit paid, in UK, is not returnable, and will also be charged to overseas students after Invoice is generated. 
 Once you have logged on there is no refund. Should you change your mind before logging in the first time, within 14 days cooling off period. Refund would be available minus £45 admin charge, and £50 Deposit. 
Any issues with marking and grades can be submitted to Course Moderators, who will look into consistency, and fairness of marks. No Coursework can be submitted outside of the Classroom. If required Accreditation is not Achieved, there is a resit facility, for which there is a small charge to take the Course again. 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HORSE BIT FIT COMPETITIONS.
No one working for, with, or linked to Horse Bit Fit can participate. Can enter as many times as wished, but only one prize can be won. Open to residents of UK and Ireland. Prizes can alter at Horse Bit Fit discretion, due to any circumstances beyond their control. Horse Bit Fit decision as to winners picked at random. No communication will be entered in to regarding result, or the changing of it.
