I have been involved with horses now in both a pleasure and professional capacity for more years than I care to remember!
I am a City and Guilds qualified saddler and have made saddles and bridlework at the bench. My real interest has always been with the horses themselves and I quickly moved on to saddle fitting. My inside knowledge of how a saddle is made has stood me in good stead for this and over the years I have been fortunate to be able to continue training with the Society of Master Saddlers, MSFI, Centaur Biomechanics, Jochen Schleese and Gillian Higgins.
There is a great deal of sound research being undertaken on bits and bridle fitting and I see this as an extension of the services I can offer people to ensure their horses are working to their full capacity in complete comfort.

WOW! I had a visit today, it was so informative in all aspects but without any hard sell. Various bits were tried and the one that the horse obviously liked best was so apparent, gosh what a difference. I was very sceptical ..... but thought as I have a saddle fitter, dentist, physio, why I have never thought to have a bridle and bit fitting/check I really don’t. Wont make that mistake again!
