Horse Bit Fit would like to welcome Katie Fishlock as a Consultant
I have had a life long love of horses but when my father first put me on a pony I screamed. He thought I would never do anything in the equine scene. At 11 we moved from Norfolk to Sussex where I was lucky enough to be given a pony. My love grew to obsession and I went on to compete in showing, showjumping and hunter trials. After marrying my husband, moving back to Norfolk and having two children I now have two horses of my own, 15hh traditional cob and a section c pony that my girls ride.
It was my traditional, Boris, that led me to taking the foundation course with Kelly Marks at Intelligent Horsemanship and then 2 1/2 years training to become an Equine Massage Therapist, after an ill fitting saddle. Now I'm training with The Saddle Exchange, Gini and Dean Woodward, to fit saddles and it seemed a natural progression to join Horse Bit Fit and offer consultations on bitting and bridle fit.
Unfortunately I feel that bridle fit has been sadly over looked through the years and finding the correct bit for your horse can be problematic. Training with Carol has opened my eyes and mind and I can't wait to pass this on to my clients.
